At Kirkley Middle School the art and design in Suffolk syllabus is in place, which ensures that our children achieve progression throughout the year groups in accordance with National Curriculum Attainment targets.

We aim to use a variety of media to develop manual skills and creativity thus promoting an awareness of the six areas of experience, painting, textiles, collage, 3D, printmaking and drawing.

All the children have the opportunity to express themselves artistically through the use of both two and three-dimensional materials.

Computer artwork and research is beginning to have an increasing impact at Kirkley Middle School and the children have access to the computer suite and digital cameras.
