Welcome to the Mathematics Page

Our aim is to offer pupil a rich and enjoyable experience in mathematics by providing knowledge, skills, concepts and processes that are appropriate to each individual and relate to the world around them.

Year 5 and 6 follow the programmes of study as set out in the National Numeracy Strategy, using the DFES Unit Plans. Teaching in Years 7 and 8 is based on the Key Stage 3 National Strategy Teaching Programme supplemented by Nelson Thorne textbooks.

We feel that the opportunities to enrich our pupils learning offered by developments in Information & Communication Technology are both exciting and beneficial. We aim to incorporate these opportunities into our teaching of mathematics whenever it is appropriate.
